BON 4 VINTAGE LAWN AND ROWS OF LACE BONNET 1930 circa

This lovely child's bonnet hand stitched of fine lawn, 5 rows of french cotton lace ruffled brim with 3 vintage rosebuds that hide there. Topped with a 3" pale pink silk ribbon that ties either to the back or can be worn at the side. Hangs down 10" and 15" of loveliness !Puffy top style has an all lace crown. Head circumference of the model is 19" however will fit a larger head size or can be made smaller if needed with gathering. The inner circumference of this bonnet is approx. 20"

Another rare beauty 14 3/4" approx. head circumference that can be made smaller by the seven sets of adjustable ties inside . Made of fine linen cambric (finer than lawn ) thought to be cooler than cotton for the infant's head. A most beautiful delicate filling crown embroidery. Entire bonnet is covered with this exceptional whitework !

Silky satin ties were added at a later time . Original ties always seem to wear away and have to be replaced.

This rare sweet bonnet is in great condition ready to wear by some lucky baby boy or girl ! Fancy but not Frilly !

Plus a triple layer of handmade Valencienne lace that frames baby's face !

Made of the finest Linen Cambric and lace !

Linen Cambric is finer than Lawn and thought to be cooler for baby's head !

This sweetest bonnet is in great condition and ready to wear. Hand embroidered , hand sewn bit of history from early 1850. Similar bonnets are seen illustrated in "AYRSHIRE AND OTHER WHITEWORK" by Margaret Swain.

Fits head circumference of 14 1/4"comfortably or can be made smaller in size by drawing in the adjustable ties inside. There are five sets.This was part of the intricate way these early bonnets were created !

Pale pink and white silky vintage ribbon ties were added at a later time going nicely with this beauty !

Makes for a unique Baby Gift in time for Easter or the special Christening Day !

Antique Ayrshire Crown 1860 Lawn Bonnet

What an impressive baby bonnet for a special day in baby's life ! Made of a fine cotton lawn , lace trim . lace inserts, smocking and double ruffle. Crown has Whitework Ayrshire embroidery in a sweet design with drawn threadwork in the center. All handstitched in very good condition.Ready to wear. Will fit head ( doll model only not for sale )circumference of 15 3/4" and can be made smaller with the adjustable draw string in the back of the bonnet. Has silky white ribbon ties that were added later as this part of the antique bonnets usually has to be replaced.
