Such a beautiful antique survivor is this Victorian belly band style long 37 1/2 " soft sturdy cotton slip.

Lovely double row of scalloped broderie anglaise edged in french knots and eyelet hem embellished. Three groups of five of the finest  pintucks decorate the skirt with three rosettes accenting each side of the bottom. 9" back opening closes with lace ribbon adjustable ties. Has both hand and machine stiching. Condition with only a couple of tiny pinholes in the back which does not detract or is noticeable. No stains, clean and ready to be worn by baby on this special Christening Day !

VIN1900 FABULOUS FINE LAWN, LACE and WHITEWORK CHRISTENING PETTICOAT

Circa 1900 a truly stunning Victorian, white fine lawn, lace and whitework petticoat being all hand assembled, the bodice being most daintily decorated with a thin trimming of Valencienne lace to the armholes and neckline along also with a decoration of french knots. To the back of the bodice there is an adjustable linen tie to the neckline and three mother of pearl buttons also act as closures. The most lovely fine skirt to this petticoat is exquisitely decorated around the whole circumference and consists of a 7" approximately deep band of scalloped Valencienne lace, followed by pretty whitework on a floral theme and a most stunning hemline made up of fancy scalloped fabulous whitework and Valencienne lace. Measuring chest.....18" length....29" This lovely item being so exquisitely decorated could well pass as a beautiful lawn dress for the summer serving a dual purpose ! Having been freshly laundered it is sparkling white free of all stains and ready for your little angel to wear !

VINTAGE PINTUCKING AND LACES ADORN THIS LONG BEAUTY OF A FULL SLIP !

Made of sturdy broadcloth this slip is both hand stitched and machine stitched . Pintucking and laces are handdone. Freshly cleaned in good to wear condition . Has a row of insertion between 2 sets of narrow tucking above the delicate lace around the bottom .

2 snaps closure in the back .

Length is 33", 18" chest measurement with a really wide skirt circumference of 70 " !

It is so very pretty to show off under a Christening Gown or even let it be seen with a shorter gown over it !

VIN 36 RUFFLE SLIP

This is a beauty of a vintage slip in fine condition.Has just one pinhole in the ruffle that does not detract from its beauty. Made of fine cotton batiste is 36 1/2 " long Chest 21" With  4 " embroidered scalloped ruffle with scalloped openwork having circumference of 100 " ! With 3 rows of sweet pintucking, 4 rows of tiny openwork , 2 inserts of whitework tiny flowered embroidery that make this full slip irresistable !

Delicate Valencienne net pointed trim at neckline and sleeve with drawstring tie closing  at neck and waist in back that can make it smaller to fit if needed. One button closes in back. Inside the back opening a small embroidered sewn in tag was discovered ! Reads as : J. de C. Robinson. Which could be either the creator of this gown's handiwork or the original baby it was especially made for. Most lovely choice to go with any Christening Gown !

Circa 1890 a most superior all hand assembled baby's Christening petticoat having a lovely 8" deep border consisting of rows of hand stitched pintucks and a scalloped Lawn whitework flounce this embellishment decorating the whole circumference of the hemline. Linen ties to the neck and waist which can be adjusted to suit baby's size along with a linen covered button act as closures to the bodice. Delightful handworked bobbin torchon lace decorates the neckline and armholes. Measuring chest......25" length.....41 1/2" this beautiful fine Cotton Batiste petticoat has been freshly laundered, is sparkling white free of all stains and damage and ready for use.
