VIN 39 AYR 1880 MINT GOWN

Stunning Ayrshire whitework lace on fine linen cambric( finer than lawn ) embroidered panels reaching from hem to the bodice, ruffles of Ayrshire handiwork and rows of pintucking make for an outstanding design. Framed with a scalloped vertical lace frill on each side.  Batiste gown is in mint  unworn condition. Length is 39" , chest measurement 22", skirt circumference is 68".

Front panel design consists of 3 ruffled 2" rows of lace with row of flat inserted lace, 2 ruffled2" rows of lace and 1 flat inserted lace, 1 ruffled 2" row of lace and 1 flat inserted row of lace, followed by 5 sets of 5 rows of pintucking alternating with the flat inserted lace.

Design of small delicate flowers and fern leaves. Much lovely detail has been worked into this creation !

Gathered full bodice with pintucking and whitework , full puffed sleeves. Valencienne  delicate lace around neckline that tie closes , 1 button in full gathered back. 3 rows of pintucking extend all around the hemline edged in scalloped Ayrshire embroidery.
