Plus a triple layer of handmade Valencienne lace that frames baby's face !

Made of the finest Linen Cambric and lace !

Linen Cambric is finer than Lawn and thought to be cooler for baby's head !

This sweetest bonnet is in great condition and ready to wear. Hand embroidered , hand sewn bit of history from early 1850. Similar bonnets are seen illustrated in "AYRSHIRE AND OTHER WHITEWORK" by Margaret Swain.

Fits head circumference of 14 1/4"comfortably or can be made smaller in size by drawing in the adjustable ties inside. There are five sets.This was part of the intricate way these early bonnets were created !

Pale pink and white silky vintage ribbon ties were added at a later time going nicely with this beauty !

Makes for a unique Baby Gift in time for Easter or the special Christening Day !
