Made of fine linen cambric (finer than lawn ) thought to be cooler than cotton for the infant's head. A most beautiful delicate filling crown embroidery. Entire bonnet is covered with this exceptional whitework !

Silky satin ties were added at a later time . Original ties always seem to wear away and have to be replaced.
