ANTIQUE 18th C. LACE INSERT BABY'S BONNET  of FINE DELICATE COTTON LAWN

Hand made with minute hand stitching with numerous channeling for cord adjustments making size smaller. When done treat carefully.  The adjustment cords are visible hanging from one side of the bonnet and at the center of the back. Between later 18th C. to early 19thC.

The crown insert is of a lovely hand made lace surrounded by smaller Valencienne ruffle.

A WONDERFUL PIECE OF TEXTILE HISTORY !

This bonnet is in good condition clean with no spots or tears. Will fit head circumference of 16" with the adjustments to fit a smaller head also. Would go nicely with that special heirloom Christening Gown !
