FANTASTIC CAPE COLLAR VICTORIAN COAT

Dates from between the mid to late 1800's and in fine condition with no flaws !

This most lovely Christening Coat makes an appropriate addition to baby's vintage gown with its outstanding cape collar 10 "deep. Trimmed all around with the sweetest 3 1/4" wide lace and silky designed ribbon. The yoke is outlined with a fine cotton trim with 3 ovals. Closes at the neck with 2 antique shell buttons, long ribbon ties.Button holes are handmade. Outside fabric is a fine twill type weaved soft cotton and fully lined with light white cotton.

Lovely pleats drape in the front and back yoke. Sweet tiny trim around the sleeve cuffs. 

Measurements: 31" long  22" around chest,  12" neck,   8" across shoulders,  9" arm hole opening , 9" sleeve length from the top of the shoulder and from under the arm 5 1/2" to sleeve cuff, 5 1/2" sleeve opening cuff , with 42 1/2" hem circumference.
