VINTAGE ORNATE 1930 OUTSTANDING WHITEWORK LACE CHRISTENING  GOWN    

Circa 1930's a most lovely white angelic looking christening choice !

This lovely gown catches one's attention with its scalloped edged flounce skirt, decorated with many rows of pintucks, pretty panels of floral whitework and decorative lacework. This wide panel embellishment circles all around the skirt measuring a most beautiful 12 1/2 " in depth.

A lovely high waisted bodice at the front decorated with vertical rows of pintucks and panels of decorative lacework.Just above the waistband and directly below this there is a 1 1/2 " deep horizontal panel of floral whitework.  Bodice back has three rows of vertical pintucks on either side of the opening.

Lace trims the pretty neckline and to the back of the bodice closes with two linen covered buttons .  Full length sleeves are accented with an eyelet panel of lacework through which vintage ribbons have been threaded tied into a bow. The edges of the cuffs are decorated with pretty lace.

Measuring chest ---25"   length ----40"   Excellent condition  stain and damage free .   A sparkling white freshly laundered magnificent gown ready to use !
