ORNATE VALENCIENNE AND BOBBIN LACES GOWN

Vintage 1930 finest soft cotton all hand assembled Christening Gown with rich looking flowers of Valencienne lace and scalloped  flounce. Deep 14 1/4" panel decoration to the skirt made up of pintucking rows, floral whitework and handworked bobbin lace continues all around to the back.

The two panels of whitework all hand done made with the most tiny stitches in floral work and connecting entredeaux at top and bottom of each panel .

High waisted bodice embellished with bobbin lace vertical rows , herringbone decoration set off with silk streamers. Neckline and sleeves are beaded through with Victorian silk ribbons that can be adjusted in size for baby. 2 mother of pearl tiny buttons close in the back. Full front  gathers .
